For those of you who landed here by chance, I’m Francesco, a Florence Engagement Photographer based in Tuscany who works throughout Italy and sometimes abroad. Of course, I love to shoot wedding proposals in Florence, too: as I grew up and actually live in Florence, shooting engagements and, in general, proposals and couple sessions in my city have become a consistent part of my work.

As you may be considering hiring me to collect some one-of-a-kind memories, I want to share something about who I am as a person. I love meeting new people and capturing their unique vibe in a natural, unposed way, even if I’ll offer plenty of tips to make the experience fun and the final result modern and cinematic. My approach is laid-back and relaxed, and my main goal is to help you shine as your authentic self. I understand that facing a camera can be kind of scary. Still, I’m confident in my ability to break the ice and make it enjoyable and creative (so you don’t look stiff or fake), avoiding generic, uninspired poses. Instead, I aim to capture your true emotions and deepest feelings.
Photographing wedding proposals in Florence and Tuscany is a big part of what I do… and one of the things I love the most doing! Over the years, I’ve shot more than 100 proposals across the region, so I became something of an expert, even in helping you organize them in the best way. If you’re planning to propose in Florence or anywhere in Tuscany, here’s what working with me looks like.
Before anything else, we talk. Every proposal session deserves a tailored approach and, of course, includes a planning consultation: we go through your vision, the location you have in mind, the timing, the light, and how to position yourselves without it looking staged. If you haven’t decided on a spot yet, I’ll help you choose, and yes, I’ll probably steer you away from Piazzale Michelangelo (unless you’re early risers and are planning to do it at sunrise!); quite the same view, a fraction of the crowd: San Miniato al Monte or a nearby small-lookout-point are almost always the better call. The same goes for the Tuscan countryside: Siena, Val d’Orcia, Chianti, and the hills above Florence. I know these places well, and knowing them changes everything about how a session unfolds. On the day, I often work as a hidden photographer. Over the years, I have found various ways to hide…, even while remaining right before your eyes! I’ll be close enough to catch the real moment — the ring, the reaction, the full-volume joy — without being part of the scene. Once it’s done, I’ll walk over and say hi. I’ll probably hug you. I always do. It’s hard not to. 🙂
People I’ve worked with say I’m easy to have around, and that’s genuinely my goal: to make the whole experience effortless for you, as easy as walking and holding hands at sunset, making you forget about taking photos and even my presence at times.
