Italian Wedding Inspiration
A Winter’s Tale in Umbria, Italy
Maybe a styled shoot for some Italian Wedding Inspiration is not exactly the main intent of this blog, where you are mostly supposed to find a lot of real weddings. But if many people out of there that hit my blog are often just searching for a wedding photographer, sometimes they’re surfing the web and looking for fascinating ideas or suggestions. Leonora – the wedding planner that carefully selected all the vendors involved – has been so kind to ask me to be the one to put her thoughts into images, giving life to the amazing Italian Renaissance atmosphere she imagined (you can surely recognize the light and the interior you’re used to seeing in paintings). And so I did. Taking inspiration from my favorite painters – like Caravaggio, Hayez, and Vermeer – I tried to put these suggestions into images. This private ancient villa, in the heart of Umbria and close to the beautiful Todi, is undoubtedly an exceptional setting to create the atmosphere we were looking for. The dark interior, with those light blades coming from the tall, thin windows. The ancient beamed ceilings. The all-painted tiny private chapel of the Villa. The bedroom has a four-poster bed, and the living room has a huge fireplace. Everything here contributes to the final mood and atmosphere. The other artisans Leonora decided to pick are just the last pieces of the same fabulous puzzle. The ridiculous black-and-white ceramic jewels and decors (look at that teapot!) were made by Rita. The visionary wedding dresses from Sara. Or the handcrafted shoes, made by Monica on the feed of the stunning Petalie. Without mentioning the wedding table settings that Apollinare Catering put together for us. Everything is an essential part of this Italian Wedding Inspiration shoot we made in these winter lockdown months, and we dream of coming back soon to the real weddings we love so much.
If you’re curious to see all this awesomeness, look below! You’ll make me happy if you stop just a moment to tell me what you think about it in the comments!
Be well, Fra
