Rose & Jon – A Romantic Walk in the Florence Downtown

What you can see below happened precisely a couple of years ago. And looking back at these pre-Covid-19 times makes me feel a bit sad and nostalgic. In the present days, Florence is a kind of ghost-city, with just some people moving here and there. A few astonished tourists walk without smiles through the almost desert alleys of Florence. While it was easy to meet a colleague shooting another pre-wedding photoshoot while walking, now it sounds just hard to imagine when we can do it again. Pre-wedding photos are a kind of Classic for Asian people, choosing a location they love in the world, where to have some photos taken to show – later – on their wedding day. There are many different approaches to a prewedding shot: somebody likes to define it as a “doped engagement session”, where you can see luxury cars, best hotel rooms, shining wedding gown. But the ones I prefer to shot are way closer to an engagement session, where the bride and groom-to-be sometimes come out wearing their wedding outfits or – just like in this case – they come with more comfortable and casual outfits. Anyway, what your gonna see here is what I love more about these shootings: a couple of guys really in love that want to enjoy their time and space with me.
